|700-Year-Old Vivid Murals. The Mongolian tomb discovered in Dong'er Village, Pucheng, is one of the secret burials of the nobility. After excavation, the tomb entrance is reached by descending a 4-meter slope. The tomb entrance faces south and is a brick-arched doorway, about 1.2 meters high, 0.9 meters wide, and 2 meters long. The tomb chamber is reached by entering the doorway. The tomb chamber is an octagonal shape with different sides made of bricks, extending upwards to form a dome, resembling a yurt. The entire tomb chamber and doorway are plastered with white lime and decorated with colorful murals. Although more than 700 years have passed, the colors of the murals are still vivid and mostly intact. The murals in the ancient tomb consist of three main parts: "Sitting in the Hall," "Farewell and Wine Offering," and "Drunken Return and Dance," with a total of more than 20 figures, all dressed in the typical style of the Mongol Yuan period.
