Known as the 'Open-air Museum', Qiaoling is the mausoleum of Emperor Ruizong of Tang, Li Dan. Li Dan was the fourth son of Emperor Gaozong, Li Zhi, and Empress Wu Zetian, and the father of Emperor Xuanzong, Li Longji. Qiaoling is a remnant of the most prosperous period of Chinese feudal society and is known as 'the best stone carvings in the world', making it an important node in Shaanxi's eastern tourism route. The county museum, also known as Pucheng Confucian Temple, was founded in the fourth year of the Tang Zhenguan era (630 AD). It was maintained and expanded during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The existing main structures of the Confucian Temple include the Six Dragons Wall, Lingxing Gate, Ji Gate, Dacheng Hall, and Minglun Hall, which are built from south to north in sequence, forming the central axis of the Confucian Temple architectural complex. Among the ancient buildings, the Six Dragons Wall at the very front is the most famous. Built in the 44th year of the Ming Wanli era (1616), it is over four hundred years old and was constructed 155 years earlier than the Nine Dragons Wall in the Ning Shou Palace of the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is the only single building in China that combines a stone archway with a glazed screen wall. Its architecture embodies the essence of Chinese Confucian cultural thought.
