Best Time to Visit and Practical Tips The Vrtba Garden is a seasonal garden that is not open year-round, typically operating from April to October. Therefore, it is essential to check the visiting period in advance. Late April to early May is the best time to visit, as the garden is in full bloom with vibrant green buds sprouting, making it lively and refreshing. From late September to October, the autumn foliage begins to appear, allowing visitors to enjoy the autumnal charm combined with the red rooftops. The recommended visiting hours are right after opening at around 10 AM or 1-2 hours before closing, after 4 PM. The garden is not very large, so it can get crowded during peak season, but these times are relatively quieter, allowing you to fully enjoy the tranquility. Admission is charged (approximately 120 CZK for adults, subject to change), and payment can be made in cash or by card. Since the garden is located on the slopes of Petrin Hill and involves climbing many stairs, wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Additionally, as there are no small cafes or rest areas in the center of the garden, it is advisable to bring your own drinks and snacks before entering.
