Stunning Baroque Monastery Near Prague Castle

This delightful Baroque monastery is conveniently located near Prague Castle. The cloisters are adorned with frescoes depicting saints， while at the heart of the complex lies the Santa Casa， also known as the Holy House. Its exterior is elaborate， but inside， it is quite simple， featuring a silver altar and a statue of the Virgin Mary. The Nativity of Our Lord church boasts opulent Rococo decorations， filled with frescoes and cherubs. On the first floor， the intriguing Treasury is found—it hosts the Prague Sun monstrance， dazzling with over 6，500 diamonds. Each hour， 27 bells chime a hymn to the Virgin Mary. Admission is free with the Prague Visitor Pass， yet it’s certainly worth paying the entrance fee given the multitude of sights to enjoy.
