Tough Yet Rewarding Hike on Morne Blanc Trail

Did the hike around midday with a light drizzle. Although the trail is brief, it becomes challenging after roughly 200m due to its rocky uphill path. At the summit, all I could see were clouds, but friends say the view on clear days is stunning. Transport: I took the bus through Victoria (SCR 10 each way). On the way back, there was no bus for an hour, so I hitchhiked and paid SCR 100 to get to Beau Vallon. Buses are cost-effective but run irregularly, so allocate extra time. Guide or No Guide? Honestly, a guide isn’t necessary. The trails are clearly marked, with entrance fees now consolidated on a single online platform. Today, I saw guides merely walking ahead silently, without engaging with clients or taking photos.
