📍Pompeii Travel, Naples, Italy - Exploring the Timeless Volcanic City Pompeii was one of the places I was most looking forward to visiting during my trip to southern Italy. A city buried under volcanic ash—how fascinating! I remember hearing about Pompeii in elementary school and eagerly reading various books about it. And now, after decades, I finally got to visit. When traveling to Pompeii, keep in mind that there is absolutely no shade available. Bringing a hat or something similar would be a good idea. Also, instead of exploring on your own, I recommend joining a guided tour.
