Bromo always with me

The Bromo national park is extremely beautiful, and quite unique. The sun rising over the smoking mountain is incredible, and Mt Semeru erupts in the background roughly every 20 minutes. The climb up Bromo is pretty easy going, and the desert area is cool. I think you should not do this with any tour, rather choose a guest house around the area, and they can arrange a jeep for you. It is much cheaper. We stayed at Jazzi's guesthouse, and Dedi helped set the trip up for us. It does get busy, so it becomes like a racing event with all the jeeps bombing around the sandy desert, and you can cover almost everything in a long morning, starting at 3 am and finishing at 11. While we really enjoyed our time, there were still a couple of negative points. 1) Just like almost everywhere else in Indonesia, there is rubbish lying around. There seems to be no collection service, and people just throw it around, despite this being a national park 2) Horses. The locals will offer horses to help carry people up Bromo. They look half dead, and completely dehydrated. When someone offered us a horse, we declined because of this, and he laughed at us and said if you think it needs water, you should buy it off me and give it some.
