Anson Chee Cheong Fun is served in individual rolls. Compared to typical Hong Kong-style dim sum, the rice rolls are chewier and thicker, and are served cold. The black sweet sauce has a slightly sweeter flavor, while the soy sauce with scallion oil is similar to soy sauce and fried shallots, perfect for dipping. The yellow color in Kampar is curry, not sesame sauce! It looks a lot like sesame noodles. The appearance and texture are similar to Taiwanese ban tiao, but with a chewier texture. The Campbell's curry had a strong blood clam flavor, which might be too much for some people with odor sensitivities. The counter had a wide selection of fried items to choose from, and the overall taste was okay. I heard prices have increased, but overall, the prices are still quite reasonable.
