Taiwan's Xiaoliuqiu - A Paradise for Ocean Lovers.

Taiwan is a beautiful place, and Xiaoliuqiu has become my favorite in recent years. I love its nature and marine life. There are very large green sea turtles, as well as starfish, sea hares, corals, and a rich variety of fish, including everyone's favorites, Dory and Nemo! I didn't see them when I snorkeled at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, but this time I was able to witness them with my own eyes. It was my first time visiting a Taiwanese island like Xiaoliuqiu, and I had no idea how beautiful their ocean was. Of course, I don't know how to dive, but snorkeling and joining the coastal ecology tour were also a lot of fun. I started my journey from Kaohsiung to Xiaoliuqiu, first taking a car to Donggang Wharf and then a thirty-minute boat ride. If you're like me and don't know how to ride an electric scooter or bike, you'll have to rely on the island's only taxi. However, staying at a B&B near the pier is also very convenient. Besides playing with green sea turtles and fish, the island also has romantic beach bars and high-quality coffee shops to choose from. Additionally, Xiaoliuqiu has various attractions like Vase Rock and the lighthouse. If possible, watching the sunrise and sunset is also very romantic. Spending two or three leisurely days in Xiaoliuqiu is a great choice.
