Hong Kong to Guangxi: Four Days and Three Nights at Beidishan

Beidishan is located in Guigang City, Guangxi, with an altitude of 1581 meters. It is situated within the Dayao Mountain National Nature Reserve. Known for its unique peaks, lush forests, and misty atmosphere, it is often referred to as the 'Little Zhangjiajie.' Transportation: Pingnan South Station is about 70 kilometers from Beidishan. There are direct tourist buses to Beidishan, which take about 1.5-2 hours. The fare is 25 yuan per person, regardless of age. The earliest bus departs at 9:20 AM, and the latest at 7:50 PM. For the return trip, the boarding point is next to the ticket office, with direct buses to the high-speed rail station. The last bus departs at 6:00 PM. Tickets: Mountain climbing ticket (including shuttle bus, as the scenic area entrance is a 15-minute drive from the mountain entrance): 100 yuan per adult, free for children under 1.2 meters; 60 yuan for children between 1.2 and 1.5 meters. Cable car fee: 120 yuan round trip, 90 yuan one-way up, 50 yuan one-way down. Glass walkway: 30 yuan per person, free for children under 1.2 meters. Tour Route: There are two routes to climb the mountain, east and west. The west route is longer, taking about 3-4 hours, while the east route is shorter, taking about 1.5-2 hours. Since our child was most interested in experiencing the glass walkway, we chose the east route. The path consists mostly of uphill steps, which can be somewhat strenuous. Guangxi experiences frequent rain. When we climbed the mountain, it was shrouded in mist, creating a fairyland-like atmosphere. Standing at a high point, the wind would occasionally disperse the mist, revealing distant peaks and the winding mountain road below. The scenery was beautiful and refreshing.
