Mashaa Halal Café – A Cozy Halal Spot in Phuket Old Town

Just a short walk from the iconic Phuket Museum (less than 200 meters away), we stumbled upon Mashaa Halal Café while Googling halal food nearby after snapping some photos at the museum. The café itself is small and cute, with only a few tables. Luckily, it was empty when we arrived, but it quickly filled up with customers not long after. To beat the heat, I ordered a refreshing yuzu soda, while Barak went for a strawberry soda – both perfect for the hot Phuket weather. For food, I tried the stir-fried chili prawns. Absolutely delicious! The flavors hit just right, and the prawns were fresh and bouncy. Barak ordered the vegetable soup with tofu, which was light and refreshing. Honestly, if you had this soup with sambal belacan and salted fish, you’d easily go for a second plate of rice! Since the café is quite small, we didn’t stay long after finishing our meal, just to give space for other customers. Prices are pretty standard, with plenty of choices for both food and drinks. And most importantly, everything we tried tasted really good – no complaints at all.
