Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach.

My first trip to Phuket was incredibly impressive. I spent a long time choosing accommodation and finally settled on a quiet, private place by the sea with a private pool. The villa had a pool view that overlooked the sea. The food was delicious and there was so much variety. Every penny spent was worth it. Everything was perfect from the airport to the first step into the hotel. The welcome drink was delightful, and the introduction to the hotel was like a small story, covering the accommodation, small activities within the hotel, food, and various attractions until we reached the room. The room was beautiful with a great view and an excellent bathroom (I personally think the bathroom design was very well thought out, functional, and complete). Stepping outside the room, there was a private pool, seating area, sunbathing spots, and direct access to the beach. At night, we could watch the stars and listen to the waves. It was amazing. The food was so good that we didn't want to eat out. The Thai food, Italian food, and the grand breakfast spread were all fantastic. There were so many options that it was hard to choose. Even the small Tokyo desserts were delicious. Activities included yoga, cooking, massage, spa, kayaking, volleyball, and ping pong (which was a lot of fun because of the sandy surface, giving a unique feel). The beach wasn't very white, but it wasn't bad either. The sand was not very soft, but it was comfortable to walk on barefoot. What I liked was that there were many guests (mostly Westerners, Chinese, and Koreans), but it wasn't chaotic at all. I personally think I will come back again. P.S. The staff here seem to be selected for their looks. Some of them could be beauty queens!^^
