Wat Tako, Ayutthaya

It is a famous and widely known temple because it is the residence of Luang Pho Ruay Pasathiko, a highly respected monk. Inside the temple is the Phra Maha That Pasathiko Chedi, which is a large and towering chedi designed by a national artist in Thai architecture. This chedi has two floors. The lower floor is a large hall with a glass coffin containing Luang Pho Ruay's remains that have not decayed, allowing devotees to come and pay homage. The upper floor enshrines the relics of the Lord Buddha and statues of the ancestors. In addition, there is a new Ubosot with the principal Buddha image inside. Inside, there are beautiful paintings of the life of the Buddha and a Thai-style pavilion in the middle of the water where you can feed the fish. The atmosphere inside the temple is peaceful, shady, and there are many beautiful photo spots. You can use a map to travel to Wat Tako. The temple is about 80 kilometers from Bangkok and takes about 1.5 hours to travel. For those who do not have a private car, you can take a public bus to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and then take a car to Phachi District. Wat Tako is a place worth visiting. Whether it's paying homage to Luang Por Ruay's remains, admiring the beautiful architecture, or simply finding a quiet corner to relax, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ayutthaya.
