Encountering the Most Beautiful Sunrise on Balicasag Island

Balicasag Island is a tranquil gem hidden in the waters of Cebu. In the early morning, we set off on a boat for island hopping, greeted by the salty sea breeze and the gentle sound of waves. As the sun slowly rose above the horizon, its golden rays spread across the ocean, making the world seem to pause for a moment. Suddenly, a rainbow gracefully appeared in the sky, like a dreamy surprise gift from nature for early risers. Upon arriving at Balicasag Island, swaying palm shadows and pristine white beaches greeted us, offering a serene view in every direction. With a snorkel mask on, we dove into the crystal-clear waters, where vibrant corals shimmered under the sunlight. A sea turtle elegantly swam past, its slow and composed movements teaching us to let go of haste. This small island is free from noise, offering only the dialogue between wind, light, and sea. It’s a relaxing journey of dancing with nature and reconnecting with oneself.
