It was completed in 1160 and was a chapel in the mansion of Maione of Bari, the naval admiral of the second King Guglielmo. There are many gorgeous and glittering churches in Palermo, so when you go inside, you'll be surprised by the rustic and simple walls and ceilings, not to mention the mosaics on the floor. It was also a small space. That made the cross stand out, and it was a more relaxing place than other churches. It's also interesting to see what the inside of the red dome roof looks like.
