Travelogue of Orvieto, a charming hilltop town near Rome

Orvieto, a hilltop town near Rome, is a small yet deeply relaxing place. As you take the train and bus up the hill, the first thing to greet you is the sparkling Duomo Cathedral under the sunlight. Its intricate carvings and golden mosaics were impressive, and the distant sound of the cathedral bells brought a sense of peace. Walking through the narrow stone alleyways, you can see locals enjoying coffee and chatting on benches in front of cafes. Ceramic shops and real estate windows displayed photos of beautiful homes. Although I couldn't explore every corner due to the short free time, the tranquility and leisure of the town alone were enough to make the trip healing. Next time, I hope to stay an extra day to leisurely enjoy the sunset glow on the Duomo and the nighttime scenery of the alleys. Orvieto is a city that fills your heart even in just one day. 🌿
