Place du Martroi, the main square of Orleans

Place Martyrdom is the main square of Orleans, where stands the equestrian statue of Joan of Arc. Trams were opened at the end of the 19th century. During World War II, the building was partially destroyed by bombing in June 1940 and was rebuilt after the war. After the 1980s, the square became a semi-pedestrian area, and archaeological excavations were carried out during the construction of an underground parking lot. #外游
