Famous seafood restaurants in Oostende

Most of them are quite expensive due to their location on the beach. However, many restaurants near the fish market are much better in terms of quality, ingredients, and prices. Apero Fish Palace is one of the restaurants near the fish market and is only about 500 meters from Central Station, about a 15-minute walk. The restaurant is located on Nieuwstraat, right next to the VINCI Parking Mijnplein parking lot. So if you rent a car, you don't have to worry about parking. It's very convenient. This restaurant is a Bistro with a casual atmosphere. There are about 2-3 outdoor tables outside. The inside of the restaurant is more spacious. In front, there is a huge refrigerator that looks like it was brought from the fish market. It clearly shows the freshness of the ingredients. There is also a tank of lobsters in the back. This is a restaurant that focuses on seafood seriously, just as its name suggests. 🍽 Menus I tried ➡️ Complimentary Bread - Get 1 free basket of bread. In addition to the usual butter, the restaurant also serves fresh homemade sandwich spread. ➡️ Mosselen Look - Baked mussels are a popular Belgian dish. It is usually eaten with French fries, so much so that many places call the dish Moules-Frites or Mosselen met Friet. The mussels here are available in many restaurants, with a natural flavor, baked in white wine sauce, baked with garlic, and baked in Provençale sauce. We chose the baked with garlic. With this price, we got a basket of Frites already. The mussels here are medium-sized. The garlic sauce is delicious, with a strong garlic and spice aroma, but not too strong to overpower the flavor of the mussels. - The French fries are served hot. Crispy outside, soft inside, not to be outdone by the name of Belgian Frites. Dip it in mayonnaise or the spread that the restaurant makes for you. It's also great. ➡️ Gebakken Kabeljauwhaasje in een Botersausje – Kabeljauw is a white fish of the same type as Cod. It is another popular food in Belgium. With this dish, you get a large, thick piece of fish with soft, fluffy, fresh meat, baked in a fragrant butter sauce, sprinkled with tiny shrimps called Scampi, served with tartar sauce, lemon, and a small cup of salad.
