DAY 53: Today we set off from the guesthouse on Ikuchi Island, passing through Omishima, Hakata Island and Oshima, and finally passing the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, a magnificent bridge symbolizing the Shimanami Kaido. It was opened in 1999 and is connected by three bridges. It is about 4 kilometers long and is the world's first three-link suspension bridge. The Kameroyama Observatory Park on Oshima (301 meters above sea level) is one of the best viewing spots on the Shimanami Kaido. You can enjoy the magnificent view of this magnificent bridge crossing the Kurushima Strait. It is worth visiting. On May 3, I took a ferry from Takamatsu to Kobe Port.
