Spirited Away at Ginzan Onsen - Yamagata

Ginzan Onsen - Japan's famous spa town lined with traditionally styled wooden ryokans, which is also said to have inspired scenes from the famous film 'Spirited Away'. During winter, the ryokans are laid with blankets of white snow. There are public baths (500yen) and foot bath (free of charge) at Ginzan Onsen for the onsen lovers. The place is accessible from Tokyo by riding 3-hour on the Shinkansen, followed by a 40min direct bus ride to the place. Key point to note: remember to make a reservation before you head down to the place!
