The Spirited Away Land of Chihiro - Ginzan Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture!

Ginzan Onsen is located in the eastern part of Obanazawa City, upstream of the Ginzan Reservoir. The Ginzan River flows through it, and three-story and four-story wooden hotels built in the 20th century stand in a row under the gas lights! There are two communal bathhouses here, 'Gin Bath' and 'Big Bath', as well as a free foot bath. Nearby is the nationally designated historic site 'Silver Mine Cave', which commemorates the prosperity of Ginzan, and you can take a tour around the cave! Traditional inns line both sides of the river, creating a picturesque scene, as if traveling back in time to the Taisho era. Although it is far from the city, it will allow you to temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of urban life and purify your mind and body!
