Choujiro in Takenoyama

There are quite a few things to see in Takenoyama. Although it's not very convenient to get to, it has a kind of otherworldly feel. After a long day of walking, I wanted to eat sushi 🍣, and there were actually three restaurants to choose from. I finally chose Choujiro. Choujiro is a little more expensive than Tokubei, but all the sushi is hand-pressed, and the serving style is different, with the sushi served on long plates. The fish is very tasty, especially the seasonal fish, which is very oily. I also tried the splendid alfonsino, which was very refreshing. I ate a lot of monkfish liver, which was delicious and cheap. We spent JPY 4,800 for two people, and we didn't order anything expensive, but we were very satisfied. You can spend as much or as little as you like.
