It was a trip to Ningxia, China 🇨🇳 During our visit to Ningxia, we were amazed by its unique desert 🏜️ landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and stunning photography spots 📸 We explored the Shapotou Desert, where the endless golden sand dunes created a breathtaking backdrop for photography 📸 We highly recommend visiting in the late afternoon when the sun ☀️ casts long shadows over the dunes, adding depth to your photos. We also tried sandboarding and a camel ride, which made for some incredible action shots. Sunset 🌇 here is absolutely magical, with the sky turning shades of pink and orange 🙌 📍Shapotou Scenic Area, Zhongwei City, Ningxia, China One of our favorite spots was the Xixia Tombs, often called the “Pyramids of China.” This ancient royal burial site, surrounded by mountains and open plains, offers a fantastic mix of history and dramatic landscapes 😍 The best time to visit is early morning ✨ when the soft sunlight highlights the ancient structures, creating a mysterious and awe-inspiring atmosphere 🙌 📍Xixia Tombs, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, China For a mix of history and stunning views, we visited the Helan Mountain ⛰️ Rock Paintings. These ancient petroglyphs, carved into the cliffs thousands of years ago, tell fascinating stories of early human civilization. We explored the area in the late morning ☀️ when the sun perfectly illuminated the rock carvings, making them stand out against the rugged mountain backdrop 💯 📍Helan Mountain Rock Paintings, Helan County, Yinchuan, Ningxia, China Another must-visit is Sand Lake, a beautiful oasis where desert meets water. The contrast between the golden dunes and the deep blue lake created one of the most striking landscapes we’ve seen 😍 We recommend visiting in the morning when the light is soft ✨ and the reflection of the sky on the water is at its best. Birdwatchers will also love this place, as it’s home to thousands of migratory birds 🐦 📍Sand Lake Scenic Area, Pingluo County, Shizuishan, Ningxia, China To experience the region’s rich cultural heritage, we explored Yinchuan’s Nanguan Mosque 🕌 one of the most important Islamic landmarks in Ningxia.
