During lunch on the island, we discovered an intriguing hard hat hospital tour. Though it's not part of the regular offerings, the $55.00 expense is truly worthwhile. The tour allowed us to explore the hospital interiors and gain a wealth of knowledge. These edifices are not under the ownership of the National Park Service—rather, a restoration collective is striving to fund their preservation, which demands millions of dollars.
