Late November to early December marks the most beautiful season for Todai-ji Temple. The thousand-year-old temple sheds its solemn and majestic aura, becoming warm and poetic amidst the embrace of autumn foliage. A must-visit spot is the Nigatsu-do Hall behind the Hokke-do Hall. Situated on higher ground, it offers a perfect vantage point to overlook the entire temple complex and take in the fiery red maples and golden ginkgo trees in the courtyard. After exiting the station, take the city loop bus heading towards "Todai-ji Daibutsuden/Kasuga Taisha-mae." The bus ride takes about 5 minutes, followed by a 5-minute walk. If you have more time, you can also walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, which takes approximately 20 minutes.
