Nara Park
Address: Nara Park, 469 Zoshicho, Nara, Nara Prefecture 630-8211, Japan.

In the park, there are many deer. Although they seem gentle, their temperaments are not small. Especially the male deer, they will fight each other for food when they are in a bad mood. When feeding deer, please pay attention to the following points:
1. Deer-like, they are usually more hungry in the morning and have a bigger temper. It's best not to do anything to make them angry in the morning.
2. Don't try to lure deer with food, they will get angry.
3. When feeding, be careful not to be blocked by the deer, and do not easily expose the deer cake. If the deer knows that you still have deer cake, it will not let you go easily.
4. When encountering antlered male deer, avoid angering them. Being bumped by a female deer is no big deal, but being bumped by an antlered male deer could result in injury.
Deer may headbutt, kick, or bite people. Please be careful when feeding them.

Todai-ji Temple
Address: 406-1 Zoshicho, Nara-shi, Nara 630-8587, Japan.

At the east gate, there is one of the gathering places for deer. The temple is free to enter, but there is a fee for worshiping in the main hall. It is strongly recommended to visit the main hall, which is very shocking!!! Actually, before going, I had seen many photos in various travel guides, but when I saw it in person, I could only open my mouth and say "Wow!" The main hall is 60 meters high, equivalent to about 20 floors of residential buildings!

The 3,000 stone lanterns and hanging lanterns inside the shrine are also very famous. In addition, there are 3,000 cultural relics including 520 national treasures hidden in the shrine. Especially the quaint stone lanterns are a special scenery of Kasuga-taisha. Walking on the stone lantern avenue in the lush forest, one can be immersed in the ancient charm of Nara.

Todai-ji at Nara Park
The temple situated within the vicinity of Nara Park, Todai-ji, was founded in year 738 CE. Also known as the "Great Eastern Temple", this temple houses one of the 3 Great Buddha statue in Japan, where another 2 is situated in Kamakura and Takaoka. It was also designated as the UNESCO World Heritage as the Historic Monument of Ancient Nara. When Buddhism spread into Japan, several temples were constructed and this temple was constructed by the order of Emperor Shomu. At that time, all licensed monks who received their education in Tang China, have to receive their ordination here after they returned, including Kukai (inventor of hiragana from kanji) and Saicho (the founder of Tendai sect of Buddhism). Nara, being the centre of politics and religion during that time, makes Todai-ji an important location for ordination ceremonies for highly respected monks.

Most spectacular wooden structures on Earth
One of my favorite temples in Japan/world. Huge grand mass and scale that isn’t able to be captured via pictures. They unfortunately started making you pay to see the inside of the temple in the past couple years, but it’s absolutely worth the 600yen/person admission.
The entrance hall is really huge and big, although it has been restructured to protect the original framework. Definitely worth to visit, also there's a beautiful garden in the front and side. Gets really crowded during day time.
Absolutely incredible. The best structure and item I have seen in the whole of Japan.
It has the world's largest Buddhist statue and the temple architecture is just incredible.

Healing~ It's the deer of Nara
Ctrip star guide Mr.Siu recently led a group to Nara, come and see his travel record~
Nara is a quiet small city, the ancient city area in the city retains the ancient charm of the Edo period, Todaiji, Kofukuji, Toshodaiji still have a strong Tang and Song style, Kasuga Taisha is a good place to appreciate wisteria.
The free-range sika deer can be seen everywhere in the open Nara Park, and you can have close contact with the deer while walking in it.
Climbing up Wakakusayama, you can enjoy the pure nature while taking in the essence of the scenery of this ancient small city.

Lost in Kyoto and Nara: Arashiyama, Todaiji Temple and Nara Park
Today's weather has become cold, as if frozen. The reason for choosing to go to Arashiyama today is actually because the weather forecast shows that there will be cloudy and rainy days in the next few days, and the scenery may not be as good as on sunny days. So I checked the weather forecast and decided to go to Arashiyama today.
The luggage storage machine is really convenient. There are multiple languages available on the screen, and then I followed the prompts to store:
Find an empty locker and put the luggage in.
Pull down the lock to ensure it is locked.
Back to the screen here, confirm whether the green locker displayed on the screen is the locker where I just stored the luggage.
If confirmed, click on the green locker square on the screen, swipe the bus card to complete the payment.
The machine will spit out a small ticket after confirmation, and then you can leave.
I took a car from Kyoto Station to Kameoka, which is the starting station of the Arashiyama train. After arriving at Kameoka Station, there is a map at the exit indicating the route to the train station. You can search for the English name of the train station on the map for navigation.
I stayed on the small train until the penultimate station (Arashiyama Station) and got off. Then I first went to Jojakkoji Temple (many people choose the bamboo forest as the first stop).
The weather is really good, sunny.
After leaving Jojakkoji Temple, I also went to the bamboo forest.
When the wind blows, the bamboo makes a rustling sound, which is refreshing.
Then, I went to the Ouchi River Villa Garden. The ticket price is 1,000 yen, including a matcha.
I first tasted a cup of matcha to warm up.
After drinking, I continued to explore.
At Myokouan, I enjoyed a quiet moment of my own, which is really healing.
Then, I entered the information center, which made me feel a little scared.
After leaving the Ouchi River Villa Garden, I walked along the river to the next destination.
Then, I went to Tenryuji Temple.
After leaving Tenryuji Temple, I returned to the river.
Next, I plan to go to Nara. I first took the JR train back to Kyoto Station, retrieved my luggage, and then continued to take the JR train to Nara.
When I arrived in Nara, the hotel I booked was near the JR station, which was very convenient haha.
After checking in, I found that the view outside the window was also beautiful.
I got up at 8 o'clock the next morning, and after breakfast, I took a bus to Todaiji Temple.
In the small woods next to Todaiji Temple, there are signs reminding you to be careful of wild boars, haha.
The little deer in the woods cuddle each other, which is touching.
Finally, I came to Todaiji Temple.
The Great Buddha is indeed spectacular.
After leaving Todaiji Temple, I walked to Nara Park. I feel that the park is filled with a smell of cowshed (deer poop), can I say this? Haha.
I strolled in the park, admiring the beautiful scenery.
Wakakusayama is behind, it looks a bit bald.
Then, I went to Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
In each place, I stayed quietly and enjoyed these wonderful moments.

Todaiji Temple
Nara is a perfect day trip from Kyoto. It takes about an hour by train.
This is Todaiji (東大寺, Tōdaiji, "Great Eastern Temple"). It is one of the most impressive temples in Japan, and plays a major role in Japanese history through the ages.
The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan and grew so powerful that the capital was moved away from Nara in 784 in order to lower the temple's influence on government affairs.
Until recently, Todaiji's main hall, the Daibutsuden (Big Buddha Hall), held the record as the world's largest wooden building, despite the fact that the present reconstruction of 1692 is only two thirds of the original temple hall's size. The massive building houses one of Japan's largest bronze statues of Buddha (Daibutsu). The 15 meters tall, seated Buddha represents Vairocana and is flanked by two Bodhisattvas.
Several smaller Buddhist statues and models of the former and current buildings are also on display in the Daibutsuden Hall.

Nara's cherry blossoms 🌸
You can also see cherry blossoms in Nara. There are many beautiful cherry blossoms in Todaiji Temple and Nara Park. Moreover, not only can you see cherry blossoms, but you can also see the cute appearance of deer under the cherry blossom trees. However, when taking photos, you still need to stay a little further away, as the deer in Nara can be quite aggressive.
There's really no need to squeeze into the super popular spots to see cherry blossoms in Japan. Nara doesn't feel too crowded and you can still get close to nature. It's great.

Todaiji is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples and a landmark of Nara. The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan and grew so powerful that the capital was moved from Nara to Nagaoka in 784 in order to lower the temple's influence on government affairs. #wintergetaway

Nara Dongdae Temple, also known as Dahuayan Temple and Jinguangming Sitianwang Huguo Temple, is one of the seven major temples in Nandu, dating back more than 1,200 years. According to legend, it was made by Emperor Shengwu and the Emperor of Light was built with the help of Hexi. In the Tang Dynasty, the monk Jianzhen monk once set up an altar here. It is one of the world's historical and cultural heritages of the United Nations.
In Dongdae Temple, there are three national treasures of Japan: Jintang (Big Buddha Hall), Lushen Buddha and Octagon Lantern. In addition, there is the largest temple gate in Japan, the main gate built in accordance with the Scorpio style introduced by China the South Gate. The South Gate is deep into the two. Like the Tang Dynasty in China, the front is the Lux, and the back is the Shishi. This is the standard configuration of the Japanese temple gate. It is different from the four kings of the temple in China. It is commendable that Dongda Temple has an obligation to guide the commentator. The Chinese said it is very good. After listening to her explanation, we deeply benefited a lot.
carina..
Dongda Temple is the Daben Mountain of Huayanzong, also known as Dahuayan Temple. It is the largest existing wooden structure in the world (the front is 57 meters wide, 50 meters deep and 48.74 meters high), and the Great Buddha Hall in the temple enshrines the world's largest bronze. Buddha statue - the great Buddha Lushen Buddha. The bronze statue of the Buddha of Sakyamuni is 15 meters high and weighs 380 tons. As a historical relic of Nara, Todaiji is listed as a World Heritage Site. There is also a wooden pillar in the Great Buddha Hall, because there is a square hole at the bottom of the pillar. It is said that through this hole, you can be happy and well-behaved, and the meaning is very good, so many people line up here to wait for the cave. Because the hole is relatively small, the child can easily climb, but the adults can not climb the same, and the petite adults can climb with the help of friends. There is also a wooden model of the temple in the same proportion. In addition, there are souvenir sales, such as postcards, refrigerator stickers, painted horses, defensive, etc., you can also ask the temple to write a peace sign, you can also ask for a sign. When we went there, we met a lot of students visiting here, and it seems to be a good place to study. In the Todai-ji Temple, there are Namdaemun, February Hall, March Hall, and Masakura. The entrance to the main hall is chargeable and the ticket is 500 yen.
Suyilu.
Dongda Temple, as one of the seven major temples in Nandu, has a history of more than 1,200 years. Because it is located on the east side of Hiraizumi (Nara), it is named Dongda Temple.
And because of the large number of tourists, this is also the gathering place of the deer. Every time they pass, they will stroll over and smell your bag or have their favorite deer cake. Once you take it out, they will flock and sneak in; if not, the snobbery will not return, turn away, completely ignore your existence.
Enter the main entrance of the temple, located in the majestic Great Buddha Hall in the middle of the center, completely attracting the attention of all tourists. Although it is already the largest ancient wooden building in the world, it still retains only two-thirds of the original building. It is not difficult to imagine how great such a hall is for the various underdeveloped pasts.
Tips:
Arrival: At the JR, Kintetsu Nara Station, take the round bus to the front of the Kasuga Grand Shrine, and walk for 5 minutes. From Nara Station, walk about 20 minutes.
Opening hours: April to September 07

Dongda Temple is one of the seven major temples in Nandu. It is about one hundred and two hundred years old and is the largest wooden building in the world. The Chinese monk Jianzhen monk in the Tang Dynasty once set up a ring here. Dongda Temple can not use a tripod... Later, it was found that many places are prohibited from tripods~ It is estimated that it is afraid of affecting the flow of visitors~ Fahuatang (February Hall) on the east side of Dongda Temple, because the deity is "not empty, but also known as Guanyin" Church.
According to the historical records of the Zhengcang Institute: In the preparation stage of the construction of the Big Buddha, the was built before the main buildings of the central gamma (such as the Great Buddha Hall, the lecture hall, etc.), and in the year when the Big Buddha was built, Weifang began teaching activities. Every year, at the north side of the Fahua Hall, the Second Session (Water Festival) is based on the eleven-faced Guanyin, confessing the crime, and praying for the world's Taiping and the harvest of the grain.
