A temple founded in the Nara period

#springwander There are many national treasure buildings in the precincts, including the largest wooden buildings in the world, where the seated statue of Roshana Buddha, which is known as the Great Buddha of Nara, the Great Buddha Hall, the oldest Hokke-do Hall (March Hall) in Todai-ji Temple architecture, and Namdaemun, the largest mountain gate in Japan. The turn gate on the west side of Shoso-in Temple, where you can see the shadow of the temple architecture at the time of its founding, is also a highlight. In 1998, it was registered as a World Heritage Site as a "Cultural Property of the Ancient Capital Nara", along with Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Kofuku-ji Temple.
