Coincidentally, I was too busy to attend his wedding before, so he thought it would be perfect to meet up since his wife was also there, just in time for New Year's Eve. In the afternoon, when things weren’t too busy, I took a few hours off and hopped on a high-speed train 🚅, arriving in Nanjing right when he got off work. By 6 PM, I was punctually at Nanjing South Station and headed straight to meet my friend for dinner. Around 10 AM, we arrived at Bao'en Temple. To walk off the meal, we visited Confucius Temple and Laodongmen (not far from Bao'en Temple, about a 20-minute walk). At Confucius Temple, there were many vendors—perfect for snacking while strolling. The next morning, we woke up naturally and had lunch at a newly opened mall, which was super crowded. In the afternoon, we headed back.
