Magome-juku on the Nakasendo

From Nakatsugawa Station, take a bus for about 30 minutes to Magome-juku. At the entrance, there is a tourist center on the left where you can store your luggage or send it to Tsumago-juku. It's usually not crowded and incredibly beautiful. There are some small shops selling crafts, sake, and other items. There's also a delicious soba noodle shop. You can buy sake here, including some varieties that are unique to this area. Be sure to buy sake from the small shop a bit further up, run by an old lady, as it's very cheap.
