The expansive grounds are a sea of flowers, and while there are other types of flowers, visiting during the season of delicate and vibrant purple lavender is highly recommended. Lavender is only in full bloom for about a month, so the season tends to be crowded. I visited via a tour bus from Asahikawa. While there is a train option, the frequency is limited. Driving can be challenging due to crowded parking, so planning with flexibility is advised. Lavender soft serve ice cream is also available for purchase. By the way, Farm Tomita has free admission, allowing visitors to enjoy the vast scenery at no cost. Of course, you can buy lavender products or soft serve ice cream, which makes for a great souvenir.
