Muktinath, Mustang, Nepal

Muktinath is the third village in Mustang area, and is located at the foot of the Thorong La Pass (5416 meters above sea level) on the Annapurna Circuit. There is a temple where Buddhism and Hinduism coexist, with 108 taps. The water source is closely related to the holy Lake Manasarovar in Ali, Tibet, and flows down the mountain to form the Qumi River. In addition, not far below the mountain there is another royal fortress: Raogezi, which was built in the 16th century. Historically, another royal lineage of Mustang once lived in this fortress.
