Located in Jomsom, Mustang, Nepal, at an altitude of about 2,800 meters, the hotel is nestled in the Himalayas. It was once forbidden to outsiders and was known as the "Forbidden Kingdom." Its unique culture and natural landscape have been preserved for a long time due to its isolated geographical location. Design Designed by master designer Bill Bensley, the hotel uses local stone, slate, and wood, with warm-toned fabrics that echo the surrounding landscape. The outdoor terrace has a huge fire pit, and the interior is decorated with works by the late artist Robert Powell. Rooms There are only 29 suites of 45 square meters, designed in a traditional Tibetan style, with open-plan bedrooms connected to the living area, separate bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of the Nilgiri Mountains. Dining The restaurant serves modern Nepalese cuisine and Western cuisine, with locally sourced ingredients. The Aara Bar is named after a local specialty wine. Facilities The spa has two exquisite treatment suites with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mountains, hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, and more. The hotel has specially introduced Tibetan medicine, with services provided by experienced Amchi Tibetan traditional healers.
