Morib Beach

We use to come to Morib regularly when we lived in Banting. It was always very busy on the weekend and a stroll on the beach and coconut drink in hand is always very relaxing. On a recent trip, after many years' absence, we noticed the whole place had been refurbished and the facilities are much improved. There are now lots more parking spaces and the hawker stalls area was clean and tidy. Morib Beach is not only known recreational place, it also has the historical values where I saw there is a small monument built to commemorate the landing of a company of Indians on 9th September 1945. They were from the 46th Battalion of the British Marine chosen to defend the place from the Japanese Army during World War II. That’s amazing. I stood on historical soil. #urbanexplorer #beachvacation
