A Slow Day in Amanohashidate – Mist, Myths & a Bit of Magic

I started at Kasamatsu Park, where you can look down on the famous “bridge to heaven” from above. Even though the weather was rainy, it gave the landscape a soft, dreamlike quality—and just when I least expected it, a rainbow appeared. Quiet moments like that are what travel is all about. Down by the sandbar, I visited Amanohashidate Shrine, tucked into the trees, and later wandered into Sannogu Hiyoshi Shrine, a small local spot full of history and charm. The whole day moved at a gentle pace—misty views, fresh air, and plenty of space to breathe.
