This shrine is located at Nojimazaki, the southernmost tip of Chiba Prefecture. The deity is Ichikishimahime-no-mikoto, the goddess of water. In the precincts, there are six statues other than Benzaiten, from the "Takeda Sekio's Seven Lucky Gods", a cultural property designated by Minamiboso City.
