It has since been beautifully restored and you can go see it. The photo was taken before the earthquake. It is the total water source of the clear Shirakawa River that flows through the center of Minamiaso Village, known as the birthplace of water, and the spring water volume is about 60 tons. In 1985, it was selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan by the Environment Agency. It seems that there has been a belief in water since ancient times, and the water god "Mitsuhanome-no-kami" is enshrined at Shirakawa Yoshimi Shrine next to the spring source.
