Kusasenri-no-Hama (Mt. Aso) with golden grass

Although we didn’t have the chance to get close to the crater of Aso Volcano because the second-level alert had not been lifted, the Kusasenri-no-Hama in winter had golden grass that was completely different from summer. The withered yellow grass formed a sharp contrast with the blue sky. The white smoke coming out of the crater in the distance was clearly visible. The grass was covered with broken ice instead of cow dung. Such a dreamy scenery is worth a visit in winter. #2月好去处2025
