A Famosa means "The Famous" in portuguese, also known as Fortaleza Velha the old fortress, was a Portuguese fortress built in Malacaa Malaysia in 1512. Now this is one of the popular attraction place visited by tourist in Melaka. It is situated next to dataran pahl wasawan and Bandar Hilir. Nearby this place is also many other interesting place within walking distance like JONKER WALK, navy museum, Taming sari tower, Melaka museum and many else.
