#mymymemories#melaka The Portuguese Settlement is an area of Ujong Pasir in Melaka Tengah. It's a village of Kristang people or Serani, they are an ethnic group who predominantly mixed Portuguese and Malaccan descent(Indian, Malay and some Chinese heritage). There has a Portuguese Heritage Gallery within the Portuguese Settlement as an afford to preserve the heritage and culture of the Portuguese community of Melaka. This unique little black house is the only remaining traditional house that resemble the original dwelling of the Melaka Kristang people.
