An inn with an appealing seafood buffet

#JapanTravelStrategy Hotel Matsushima Taikanso is located at 10-76 Inuda, Matsushima, Matsushima-cho, Miyagi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture. Phone: 022-354-2161 (main) / 022-354-5214 (reservations only). From Sendai Station, it's about a 40-minute ride on the JR Senseki Line. After getting off at Matsushima-Kaigan Station, it's about a 5-minute ride on the hotel's shuttle bus. By car, it's about a 5-minute drive from the Matsushima-Kaigan IC on the Sanriku Expressway. The hotel has 256 rooms and offers free parking for approximately 200 cars. Due to a special reason, the room I stayed in was a non-view room. Therefore, I couldn't enjoy the view of Matsushima Bay from the window. However, the room was clean, well-appointed, and a relaxing space. Dinner was a Japanese-style seafood buffet served at the hotel's restaurant, "Isana." The menu features fresh seafood, including sashimi, sushi, and robatayaki, allowing you to fully enjoy the bounty of the local sea. There's also a live cooking area, so you can enjoy freshly prepared food. I was also pleased to be able to enjoy small portions of sashimi and sushi. Breakfast is served at La Seresse on the first floor, offering a Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffet with a variety of dishes. Overall, even if the view isn't the main focus, I felt that the quality of the food, accessibility, and comfort of the inn made this a worthwhile stay.
