My Moroccan friend highly recommended Safran by Kôya, a restaurant frequented by both locals and tourists. It's so popular that I couldn't make a reservation, but I called to ask if there were any same-day cancellations, and they said they had them, so I went. The menu offers a wide selection of Moroccan dishes as well as international options, and the restaurant's atmosphere is truly Marrakech, which I loved. The lighting and ambiance are great, making for great photos. Above all, the food is so delicious that I highly recommend it. We ordered salmon and crab appetizers, octopus, Moroccan couscous, cocktails, mocktails, and dessert. I ate my fill and paid a little over 200,000 won. While it's certainly pricey compared to Moroccan prices, the service was excellent and the food was delicious, making it a place I'd definitely visit again. The octopus dish was particularly tender, and the sauce tasted like Korean bibimjang, perfect for Korean palates. The beef in the beef couscous was so tender I didn't even need to use a knife. Plus, there were performances and music from 9 p.m., so there was plenty to see and do. If you're traveling to Marrakech, Morocco, be sure to visit Safran by Kôya ♥️
