#hellohalloween As I wandered through the quiet grandeur of The Holy Name Church, my eyes were drawn not just to the altar or the stained glass, but to a pillar—humble in form, yet radiant in meaning. Wrapped around it was a mosaic, a tapestry of tiny tiles that shimmered like a hymn in colour. This wasn’t just decoration. It was a portrait of community, devotion, and remembrance. Each fragment of glass or ceramic had been placed with care, forming faces, gestures, and symbols that echoed the lives of those connected to the church. Parishioners, clergy, volunteers—people who had prayed, served, sung, and wept within these walls—were immortalised in art. The colours were bold yet reverent: deep blues, warm golds, and earthy reds that caught the light like stained glass in motion. Some figures held candles, others books or instruments. One tile showed a woman offering bread; another, a child reaching upward. It was as if the pillar itself had become a storyteller, whispering the legacy of faith and fellowship through image and hue.
