Thai Samakkhi Temple, Mae Sot

It is well known that Tak Province has Luang Por Tan Jai at Wat Phra Borommathat Ban Tak, Ban Tak District. However, few people know that Luang Por Tan Jai also has another place, Wat Thai Samakkhi, Mae Sot District. Wat Thai Samakkhi is about a hundred kilometers away from Wat Phra Borommathat Ban Tak because Mae Sot District is on the Thai-Burmese border. The architecture of Wat Thai Samakkhi is more exquisite and has been influenced by Burma more than Wat Phra Borommathat Ban Tak. Inside the temple, there are quite a few Burmese people walking around among Thai people. The temple's noticeboards and advice signs are written in Burmese alongside Thai throughout. If anyone goes to Tak Province, I recommend that you go and ask for a blessing from Luang Por Tan Jai. P.S. Mae Sot District also has an airport.
