A very popular place in Madrid, but hear my words before going

#celebrateit If you look up for popular restaurants in Madrid, you’re likely to come across this place. But my personal experience with it was really what I regretted. The paella looked very tempting, but was served with minimum two pax, so I turned to the seafood spaghetti, which was one of the highlights on the menu, but it turned out to be as bland as it could get (as shown in the picture). I was almost wondering if the kitchen missed a step or two, but seasoning aside, the seafood was subpar too. Another item commonly recommended by the reviews was oxtail. What I was served tasted fine, but at 9.15€ it’s less than a thin bite, seriously. The rest was gravy on mashed potatoes. And throughout my visit, the waiter was very cold as opposed to how most reviews applauded. Not sure if it’s because I’m single diner who don’t order drinks or the waiter was just having a bad day. Anyway, bad service was just secondary, I wouldn’t mind it at all if the food was up to standard. But sadly, no. That said, this place does offer excellent lunch menu on weekdays (I went on weekends): appetizer+mains+dessert=14.95€. For those who still wanna give this popular place a try, such lunch deals won’t hurt.
