An otherworldly archaeological museum in Madrid that warrants a visit

#celebrateit Was thinking to do Prado museum (free 2hrs before closing) but was turned away by the huge line, then resorted to this museum that I happened to pass by earlier. Which turned out to be the best archaeological museum I’ve ever been to, everywhere in the world including those in China/Europe. I’m blessed to have found this place out. Archaeology usually is associated with dated/old/ruggedness, which in turn tends to disinterest the crowd. But it is not remotely the case here. The museum adopts a modern trendy style of display/architecture, which totally detaches archaeology from its stereotype. And almost every single artifact was accompanied by easy-to-read interesting paragraph. And the artifact collection is MASSIVE. It easily took me 3hours while I just casually walked around the place, and I still had around 1/2 of the place unexplored. Insane. It turned out that Spain was the gateway for ancient human to come to Europe from Africa, that’s why Spain has been the most important sites for archaeological studies and obviously making full use of it. The most jaw-dropping part of it is that despite the top-notch awesomeness, its regular admission fee is 3€, and even free on Sat and Sun?!! 10/10, really.
