A Journey of History and Wishes Intertwined

Day 1: Footsteps of Reverence and Reflection In the morning, we visited the Pak Tai Temple located in Taipa, Macau. This temple, built in honor of the upright official Bao Zheng from the Song Dynasty, exudes an atmosphere of solemnity and reverence. Inside the temple, a statue of Bao Zheng is enshrined, and the walls are adorned with various stories depicting his integrity and fairness. The air is filled with incense smoke as visitors earnestly pray, hoping to feel the power of justice and fairness. Afterwards, we walked to the nearby Taipa Houses-Museum, a vibrant collection of Portuguese-style buildings that bear witness to Macau's multicultural blend. The museum displays everyday items from the colonial period, making one feel as if they have traveled back in time. Day 2: A Blend of Tranquility and Vibrancy On the second day, we started our journey from the A-Ma Temple, an ancient temple that exudes a rich cultural ambiance and is said to be the origin of Macau's name. Walking up the stone steps in front of the temple and gazing at the Pearl River Estuary, one can feel the vastness and tranquility of the world. In the afternoon, we visited the New Yaohan department store to experience the bustling side of Macau. This place is lined with various shops where one can not only shop but also taste cuisines from around the world, adding a touch of modern vibrancy and excitement to the trip.
