The Ruins of St. Paul's on May Day...A guide to avoiding the crowds!!

Perfectly avoid the crowds! It's a bit unusual, but at least it avoids the tourist hordes. ⚠️ The tourist hordes gather and depart around 7:30-8:00, so you absolutely must!! Get there before them!! We left the hotel at 5:30 am and arrived at the Qingmao Port in about 20 minutes. ⚠️ Qingmao Port is much smoother than Gongbei Port. You only need to go through one gate, while Gongbei has about 3-4 gates. There were almost no people, so it was very quick. After exiting, go downstairs to the MT4 bus that goes directly to the Ruins of St. Paul's (about a 5-10 minute walk). We strolled to the Ruins of St. Paul's, arriving around 7:00 am. There were very few people (Picture 3). We stayed until about 8:30 am before leaving. 😭 The downside is that the shops and churches weren't open yet, but we achieved photo freedom! At 9:00 am, we took the 21A/26A bus to Hac Sa Beach. It was empty! The bus wasn't crowded! We played until about 10:30 am and then returned to the Ruins of St. Paul's to watch the Wynn Palace's Performance Lake show, visit the church, and have lunch. By this time, the Ruins of St. Paul's was already packed with people (Pictures 1 & 2). The first Wynn Palace Performance Lake show is at 12:00 pm. You need to arrive at least 15 minutes early, otherwise, you'll miss it. During Lunar New Year, shows are every 30 minutes. After lunch near the Ruins of St. Paul's, we took the bus to Taipa around 3:30 pm. There were quite a few tourists at the Londoner Macao, Parisian Macao, and Venetian Macao, but it was still manageable. We stayed until the evening to see the night view and took the 51 bus back to Qingmao Port around 7:30 pm. ⚠️ For this route, we recommend using Qingmao Port. It's very smooth, with no queues! Remember!! Wake up early! Go early!! Otherwise, the experience will be very poor! ⚠️ We don't recommend taking the free shuttle bus. There are too many people! Queues are kilometers long! We'd rather spend 💰6 on the public bus (no seats during peak hours, but frequent services save time). You can use RMB/HKD 💰6.
