Jiaozi Snow Mountain, just a 2-hour drive from Kunming, is the true hidden gem❄️ I just checked it out last week and put together a super practical guide for everyone (including transportation + outfit + route). 📍Location: Xianshan Yakou, Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County, Kunming ⏰Opening Hours:🕐 Monday to Friday 8:30-17:30 (last entry at 15:00) Weekends 8:30-17:30 (last entry at 15:30) 🎫Ticket: 219 RMB (includes round-trip shuttle bus) 🚗Transportation Tips: Self-driving is the most convenient; navigate to "Jiaozi Snow Mountain Scenic Area Parking Lot." It’s a 2-hour direct drive from Kunming, passing through a stunning mountain road. If not driving, you can take a direct bus from the North Bus Station (3 trips daily). 🧥Outfit Suggestions:🥇 1️⃣ Definitely bring a down jacket! The temperature at the summit is below zero. I wore a fleece-lined sweatshirt plus a down jacket, which was just right. 2️⃣ Non-slip hiking shoes are a must (the scenic area also rents ice cleats). 3️⃣ Bright-colored scarves/hats are perfect for photos and match the snowy scenery beautifully. 🌈Must-visit Route:🏔 1️⃣ Take the shuttle bus to Sifangjing (20 minutes). 2️⃣ Hike the plank road - Huaxi - Tianchi (the rime here is breathtaking). 3️⃣ Climb to the summit of Jiaozi Peak (altitude 4223m!)
