Wat Xieng Thong

Wat Xieng Thong is one of the most important religious, archeological and historical temples in Luang Prabang. Getting there is pretty easy as it is located not far from downtown so it could be a 20 minutes walk if you are in downtown or max 8 - 10 min by car. The recommended sightseeing time is between one to two hours. The temple is really well preserved and is a pleasure to see in person. This is an impressive building extensively decorated both inside and outside with great amount of details. This site is famous as an important gathering place for significant annual festivities.
