Stopped La Brea Tar Pits and saw ourselves at LACMA by accident. Get a tix and go inside, a little on the expensive side. We've seen some sort of "lego" exhibit. Instead it's a smaller type of construction toy, big over 25 feet, maybe 15 feet wide and 12 feet or so. . Roller coaster - rainbow colored running along the car ramps above being like a snake ramp down so they can start again. Extraordinary. Don't forget the artist. Hand made machine, controlled by man in the middle with many transformers. The train goes back and forth. More than 1000 cars, Hot Wheels size. My grandchildren, ages 4 and 6, loved every minute. There are ground level views and balconies. Also on display is the life-size apartment the artist lived in when he lived in Europe. It is made of wire material and silk screen style. Opaque and subtly he doesn't describe the actual unit, but down to the smallest details like the name of the steel box that houses only the circuit builder. Kitchen and bathroom too.
